In keeping with our philosophy, our board felt it was important for PHC to use yoga poses and their level of difficulty to describe contribution levels. Listed below are our levels of support. Please consider joining PHC’s list of contributors and we will place you on our wall of honor in the center. Namaste

• Strengthens the respiratory system and circulation, keeping flexible and slowing down the rate of breathing.
• Brings a rich supply of nutrients to the brain and spine and nervous system, rejuvenating the whole body.
• Increases memory, concentration and intellectual capacity.
• Combats all types of digestive problems.
• Relieves such problems as indigestion, diabetes, constipation.
• Strengthens arm and wrist muscles and develops flexibility, relieving repetitive strain injuries.
• Enhances mental balance, concentration, and determination.
• The position of the elbows stimulates and enhances pranic flow to the spleen, kidney, heart, lung, small intestine, and pericardium meridians.
• Massages and invigorates the internal organs, especially the digestive organs.
• Strengths the abdominal muscles.
• Expands the chest region – a benefit to people suffering from asthma and other respiratory problems.
• Strengthens concentration and mental determination.
• The person who practices regularly can never be lazy, but will full of energy, vigor and youthful vitality.
• Increases flexibility, rejuvenates spinal nerves, and brings a rich blood supply to the spinal region.
• Works, massages, and tones the back muscles.
• Stretches the thoracic region and expands the rib cage, bringing relief from asthma.
• Helps relieve problems of the uterus and ovaries, and menstrual problems.
• Demands considerable concentration, and thus strengthens this faculty.
• Awakens the Kundalini (potential spiritual energy), thus assisting the realization of one’s full potential.
• Stimulates the spinal nerves and brings and increased blood supply to the region, nourishing many of the essential internal organs.
