Jana Tompkins

Jana Tompkins is a graduate of the Harold P. Freeman Institute of Patient Navigation Program and the Colorado Patient Navigation Program, Level 1 with ongoing Level II education.  She is involved with the Colorado Cancer Research Program and a member of the National Association of Healthcare Advocacy Consultants.  In 2000, Jana was an international product manager for a major company when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Shocked at being diagnosed, she began research clinical and alternative medicine, searching for any therapy that could help her not only recover but also live a healthier life.  She found a doctor who often used clinical trials in his practice, joined one of those trials and is now committed to helping others navigate the often overwhelming task of surviving and living after a difficult diagnosis.
