Social Work-Cancer Resource Center

The Social Worker in the Cancer Resource Center is responsible for assessing the psychological, social, emotional, cultural and/or financial needs that impact high risk patient's health and recovery.  They have the ability to utilize social service, counseling, and clinical knowledge in the assessment of these needs.

They are responsible for coordination of services through an interdisciplinary process which provides a clinical and psychosocial approach through the continuum of care and balances individually identified patient and family needs with the cost effective utilization of resources.
